“Representative Casimiro’s Resignation is the Only Path Forward”-Demands The League of Rhode Island Businesses

Not content to simply let the insult fade into the political sunset, Businessman/Political Maverick Dave Levesque, Proprietor of the Brewed Awakenings Restaurant Chain … and Co Founder of the League of Rhode Island Businesses issued the following press release demanding the resignation of Rhode Island State Representative  Julie Casimiro (D-Dist. 31, North Kingstown, Exeter).

There has been a notable silence from Rep Casimiro, despite the storm, on talk radio, and social media, after her initial denial, then subsequent proof of her desire to “target” the coffee chain, a fixture in Rhode Island for nearly 30 years. What had initially emerged as a “common sense” desire to primary Casimiro ,,, as political pressure from presumed Attorney General Nominee Jason Knight flipped her expressed opposition to anti 2A legislation into a “Yes” vote … as The League has announced it will support primary candidates in select races, has blown into a full on press for her immediate resignation.

This past week, Rhode Island House Speaker Joseph Shekarchi held a roundtable to address the concerns of local small businesses.
